First Post

Two weeks from tomorrow we leave for Auckland. Three out of four of us have never been there and certainly have never been that far from home, but we remain optimistic that this is a really cool thing! Lots of people, knowing that I am never ever ever seen without my camera extending from my body as my third hand, have asked to see photos. Now I'm not sure if they are sincere or if that's just what you say to someone with a camera as a third hand, but this is where I'll be posting photos. Probably pretty often. Take a look if you want and post a comment now and then so I know that my friends and family are still here in the US, doing all of their American things that I'll certainly miss as soon as we arrive in New Zealand!

xoxo

  4. I am so excited that you are sharing your photos, (really truly). I really felt brought into the experience when my daughter was in England and she posted photos. I will look forward to your blogs and seeing your pix.
I too, love cheeseburgers. I really hope there are great cheeseburgers in New Zealand.
If you find Sam and Frodo - tell them I said hello :) <3

  5. Man, I wanted to be the first...such a slacker.
Can't wait to see the photos. I check daily on FB for them. Does this mean no more FB and email?
So will you get to Australia? If so, I would like a Sydney Opera House photo. It's on my list of things to see before I die. I have to live vicariously.
As Katrena said...Life is an adventure- at least for the lucky ones!

  6. Thanks for checking this out you guys! :O) I will still email and facebook. I just don't want to overload facebook with photos. They screw up the color anyway and I hate to downsize them so much, so this will be the main place.

I will just have to let you know about the cheeseburgers, but for now, check this place out -- we can't wait to try it!! http://www.defontein.co.nz/
